Commander-in-Chief of the RCAF attends Indo-Pacific Chiefs of Defence (CHODs) meeting via video link


General Vong Pisen, Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces (RCAF), attended the Indo-Pacific Chiefs of Defence (CHODs) meeting on February 5, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. (Cambodia time) via video link.

The meeting was chaired by Admiral Samuel J. Paparo, Commander of US Indo-Pacific Command, to discuss regional security perspectives, explore opportunities for enhanced cooperation, and set topics for the 2025 CHODs meeting.

General Vong Pisen highlighted the challenges of cybersecurity, transnational crime, terrorism, piracy, climate change, and natural disasters, which require strengthened collaboration between the military and civilian sectors through resource sharing, skill exchange, and strategic planning.

The Commander-in-Chief expressed support for strengthening regional military cooperation and jointly resolving all challenges peacefully so that the Indo-Pacific region can have peace, stability, and prosperity. For Cambodia, be prepared for humanitarian assistance and disaster relief.
